Item Contribuições da astronomia indígena para a sociedade contemporânea: um estudo baseado em fontes bibliográficas(Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco, 2025-07-15) Santos, Thalyta da Silva; Barbosa, Jaderson de Araujo BarrosThis study investigated the contributions of indigenous astronomy to contemporary society, highlighting how ancestral knowledge about the sky and natural cycles influences culture, spirituality, and even modern science. Through a literature review and studies on different indigenous peoples of Brazil, it was possible to understand that these groups developed their own systems for observing the sky, using constellations and natural phenomena to predict events such as rain and floods, in addition to guiding activities such as hunting, fishing, and planting. The results show that indigenous astronomy is a rich and integrated knowledge that dialogues with modern science and reinforces the importance of careful observation of nature. It is concluded that this knowledge is not just part of the past, but a living source that contributes to valuing cultural diversity and offering new perspectives for science and sustainability in today's society.Item Ensino de ciências e metodologias ativas: análise de práticas aplicadas no ensino fundamental(Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco, 2021-06-15) Souza , Josiene Dias de; Pereira, Jocilene Gordiano Lima TomazItem Sequência didática inclusiva sobre os reinos moneras, protoctistas e fungos para turma com estudante autista: relato de experiência(Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco, 2025) Ireno, Ivanilde Pereira; Boas, Anderson Camatari VilasAutism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a condition that compromises the way individuals are and lives, and may involve difficulties in language, communication, as well as restricted and repetitive behaviors and interests. In this context, the importance of meaningful learning and the essential role of the teacher in adapting the teaching process is emphasized, aiming at understanding the contents and the inclusion of students with ASD. This paper presents an experience report, with a qualitative approach, which describes the application of an adapted didactic sequence in the discipline of Science, in a class of the 7th grade of Elementary School of a public school in the city of Itiúba-BA. The proposal was prepared based on semi-structured interviews with the pedagogical coordination, the regent teacher, the teacher of the Specialized Educational Service (AEE) and the mother of the student with ASD, in addition to observations in the classroom. The didactic sequence was built considering the level of learning, abilities and difficulties of the student with ASD, with the objective of promoting their active participation, stimulating reasoning and favoring interaction with colleagues. The results showed that the use of active methodologies contributed to greater involvement and learning of both students with ASD and other students. It is concluded that it is essential to train teachers to use inclusive strategies that value all students in their singularitiesItem Reflexões da educação na perspectiva da sexualidade e das relaçoes de gênero no contexto da bncc(Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco, 2026) Barros, Tales de Oliveira; Souza, Manoel Messias Alves deThis article, entitled Reflections on Education from the Perspective of Sexuality and Gender Relations in the Context of the BNCC, aimed to identify the guidelines for the inclusion of Sexual Education in the school context across the three versions of the BNCC. The specific objectives were to investigate the conceptions of gender and sexuality addressed in the BNCC and to analyze the silencing of these themes in official documents.The methodology used was documentary analysis, accompanied by descriptive qualitative research, to collect data from official education documents. The results indicate a regression in discussions on sex education, compared to other previously published documents, thus evidencing an attempt to silence any approach to the topic in question.Item Água: do big bang ao sertão(Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco, 2019-12-18) Santos , Jaiiza Leal dos; Oliveira, Letícia MariaIn today’s society, water has become seen only as a water resource and no longer as an indispensable natural asset for the survival of humans and other species. We start using it indiscriminately, without thinking about its origin or why there is an abundance of liquid water on planet Earth. We started using it carelessly and without thinking about why water scarcity is in some regions of the planet and, mainly, about the relationship between water and life. Although our planet is known as '“planet water”', we know that it is distributed in various ways and in various places, and most of this water is difficult to access or not suitable for human consumption. Thinking about it, this work proposed to develop an educational product, in the format of thematic workshop, titled “Water: from the Big Bang to the sertão”, precisely in order to arouse new questions among the most varied audiences. Thus, two classes were chosen, being one of the elementary school I, specifically, of the 5 year, of the Municipal school Thomaz Guimarães and another class of EJA, Education of Youth and Adults, of the college Teixeira de Freitas, because they are public with very different views and conceptions. Interdisciplinary thematic workshops were developed, showing that a certain theme, can and should be approached in an alternative way, encompassing the knowledge of various disciplines, which provokes curiosity and arouses the interest of the most varied audiences.Item A utilização de aulas práticas no ensino de ciências no 4°ano do Ensino Fundamental das escolas públicas e privadas da zona urbana da cidade de Campo Formoso-BA(Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco, 2016-05-25) Souza, Caliandra Nascimento de; Menezes, Maria Cilene Freire deItem Abandono e evasão escolar no 1º ano do ensino médio em uma escola estadual(2018-05-25) Macedo, Valdinei Costa deThis article is the result of a research on the problem of dropout and dropout in high school. The purpose of this study is to analyze the reasons that led some students from the 1st year of high school to leave the school year (2016) of a state school in the city of Senhor do Bonfim-BA, as well as to identify the number of students who have escaped during this same period. The reason for which the subjects of this phase were analyzed was due to the high national dropout rate and also the high dropout rate in the 4 classes of the first year of the school. The collected data were approached in a qualitative way and obtained through an information survey done at the school office and with a semistructured questionnaire applied to 11 students who left the school year. In total, 32 students dropped out and 21 dropped out, it is noteworthy that, unlike drop-out avoidance, the student reenrolled the following year. Of the 32 students who leave only 11 to accept to participate the rest was not located or did not accept to participate. In order to base the construction of the work, we used some researches by some authors that study the factors and consequences of the problem in question, as well as what has been done within the scope of public policies and actions. The main factors found in the survey, which led to the abandonment, were imminent disapprovals and lack of interest. There were also reasons related to pregnancy and job search. It was also noted that all students evaded in 2017, and the majority who dropped out, were aged beyond the recommended grade level. It was observed from the amount of abandonment, evasions and the lag in the grade-age of the students that the school needs urgent actions in relation to the problem researched.Item Educação ambiental e meio ambiente como temas transversais no ensino médio(Universidade Federal do Vale do São Fancisco, 2019-03-18) Silva, Ronaldo Carvalho da; Nascimento, Jaqueline da SilvaThe Environmental Education blended with the cross-cutting environment theme is a fundamentally important component for national education, aiming to raise awareness and promote a significant change in behavior and commitment to environmental preservation, generating the possibility of greater awareness about environmental problems , since the relationship between man and nature and the environment to which he is inserted can be greatly improved. Aiming to investigate how the discussion on environmental education in the school environment, as well as the cross-sectional environmental theme in the same environment, was used, a questionnaire was used for the high school students of the João Francisco da Silva State College and an analysis of the Pedagogical Political Project of the same. From the analysis of the data, it was possible to observe that there is still much to be done in relation to the students' sensitization, since it was evident the need to implement projects focused on the environment at the institution and that teachers need to receive scientific knowledge and continuous training to effect improvements in the development of their activities in the ambit of environmental education.
