Item Avaliação da inaptidão clínica e sorológica dos candidatos à doação de sangue no Hemocentro de Paulo Afonso, Bahia, Brasil(UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DO VALE DE SÃO FRANCISCO, 2024-06-12) Souza, Túlio Rafael Barboza de; Takenami, Iukary Oliveira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5629405326727831; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1190052602559805Introduction: Blood donation plays an essential role in medical emergencies and urgencies, although it carries risks of disease transmission. The careful evaluation of donors, through questionnaires, clinical assessments, and laboratory tests, is crucial to ensure the safety of blood components. However, there is a lack of studies on the causes of clinical and serological ineligibility of blood donors in the interior of Bahia. Objective: To assess the causes of clinical and serological ineligibility among blood donor candidates at the Collection and Transfusion Unit (UCT) of Paulo Afonso, Bahia, Brazil. Methods: This is a prospective cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, carried out based on consultation of records of volunteers who underwent blood collection at the UCT of Paulo Afonso, during the period from October 2022 to November 2023.Results: 341 volunteer registrations were evaluated, it was found that, after giving up and/or insufficient blood collection, 43 (12.70%) were considered unfit for clinical screening and 16 (5.46%) for serological screening. The use of medications (4.4%), other causes of temporary disability (3.5%) and anemia (1.8%) were the main reasons for clinical disability, especially in women over 31 years of age. Syphilis (3.07%), HIV II/II (1.02%), and hepatitis B (0.68%), mainly among men aged 16 to 30 years, were the main causes of disability serological. Conclusion: The predominance of clinical and serological unsuitability suggests the need for effective awareness and education strategies about the use of medicines, as well as the importance of improving prevention and control policies for infectious diseases, especially syphilis, to increase the rate of suitable donors. It is also important to highlight the importance of encouraging blood donation, especially repeated and safe donation in the region.Item Caracterização do perfil de letramento em saúde em pacientes oncológicos no município de Paulo Afonso Bahia(Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco, 2024-05-20) Oliveira, Mariana Moura; Lopes, Matheus RodriguesItem Vivências de aprendizagem do estudante de medicina(2026-05-07) Palácio, Maria Augusta Vasconcelos; Takenami, Iukary; Silva, Ana Zaira da; Silva, Anekécia Lauro da; Cecon, Roberta Stofeles; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0178553866975123; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5629405326727831; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0291781111778025; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3271027018664540; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3626680416729059
