    This dissertation focused on the processes of origin and current conditions of the paleodune fields located along the banks of the São Francisco River in the municipality of Sento Sé, Bahia. These sandy features provide significant evidence for understanding the effects of paleoclimatic elements and factors on these areas, which are essential for comprehending the genesis and evolution of these environments over the course of historical time. In this sense, the objective of the research was to analyze the fluvial paleodune fields, their processes of origin, and the natural and anthropogenic impacts on the environmental system. This is applied research with a qualitative-quantitative approach, involving exploratory, bibliographic, documentary, and field studies. The theoretical framework of the research was developed based on a systematic literature review (SLR), grounded in a dialectical and systemic approach and informed by theories of landscape ecodynamics, geosystem-territory-landscape, fieldwork, and rapid survey. The research findings identified the processes that gave rise to the paleodunes, their evolution, the phytophysiognomy of the landscape, the categorization of the landscape into ecodynamic units, current conditions regarding natural and anthropogenic impacts, and the need for the implementation of management and environmental conservation plans for these paleoenvironments.

    Manual de biossegurança e instruções pedagógicas para prevenção, manejo e conduta pós-exposição a material biológico em acidentes com perfurocortantes

    The Biosafety Manual and Pedagogical Guidelines for Prevention, Management, and Post-Exposure Conduct in Biological Material Accidents Involving Sharps is an educational resource designed to support students and healthcare professionals during practical activities involving sharps and exposure to biological materials. The e-book presents, in a clear and accessible manner, the main risk factors associated with accidents involving needles and other sharp instruments, addressing preventive measures, biosafety guidelines, post-exposure management, and strategies aimed at strengthening the culture of safety in academic and laboratory environments. The content covers common risk situations in laboratory practices, preventive measures for safe activities, tools for risk prevention and management, and the pedagogical role of biosafety in healthcare education. The material also includes a glossary of essential concepts and practical appendices, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), pre-practice checklists, post-exposure flowcharts, risk awareness forms, and accident report forms. The manual was developed by professors, technicians, and collaborators from the Federal University of Vale do São Francisco (UNIVASF), focusing on health education, accident prevention, and the training of more aware, prepared, and safety-oriented healthcare professionals. Some illustrations were created with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools and were subsequently reviewed and adapted for educational purposes.
