Item Anais da 2ª Semana de Geografia - Univasf. Mudanças globais e os desafios locais: o papel da Geografia na composição de resiliências em perspectiva multiescalar(2024-11-01) Souza, Sirius de Oliveira; Nóbrega, Pedro Ricardo da Cunha; Rodrigues, Marco Aurélio; Mendes, Natália Micheli Tavares do NascimentoThe Proceedings of the 2nd Geography Week at UNIVASF, held from September 18 to 21, 2024, at the Senhor do Bonfim Campus (BA), consolidate a diverse academic production under the central theme: "Global Changes and local challenges: the role of Geography in the composition of resilience in a multiscalar perspective". The event, which celebrated the degree's 9th anniversary, sought to debate how planetary transformations impact specific territories, with a primary focus on the Brazilian semi-arid region. The work is organized into three fundamental axes reflecting the breadth of contemporary Geography. The first axis, dedicated to Education and Teaching, discusses the challenges of teacher training in the face of the High School Reform and the effectiveness of the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP). Innovative approaches stand out, such as the use of literature (works by Rachel de Queiroz and Itamar Vieira Junior) as a didactic strategy to understand drought and power relations in the countryside. The second axis, Nature and Society, explores natural resource management and environmental risks. Research utilizes advanced geotechnologies, such as Remotely Piloted Aircraft (drones), to monitor desertification and erosion processes. Additionally, the axis addresses the geography of aging in Quilombola communities and solid waste management in open-air markets, combining technical analysis with social relevance. Finally, the third axis, Capital, Labor, and Conflicts, analyzes contemporary territorial tensions. Studies examine everything from the productive restructuring of capital and labor precariousness to the territorialization of social movements, such as the MST, and the expansion of religious groups in urban areas. In summary, these proceedings represent a vital scientific record that reaffirms Geography's commitment to building more sustainable and resilient societies. The work demonstrates that the geographic perspective is capable of integrating physical, political, and cultural dimensions to respond to today's complex dilemmas.Item ANAIS - 1ª Semana de Geografia - Univasf: educação, capital, território e os conflitos socioambientais no Centro Norte Baiano(2024-04-01) Nóbrega, Pedro Ricardo da Cunha; Souza, Sirius Oliveira de; Mendes, Natália Micheli Tavares do Nascimento; Souza, Lorena Ferreira de; Rodrigues, Marco Aurélio; Sousa, Daniel Vieira de; Negreiros, Gustavo Hees de; Lima, Átila de Menezes; Pereira Junior, ReginaldoThis material presents the scientific proceedings from the 1st Geography Week of UNIVASF, held in person at the Senhor do Bonfim campus, Bahia, from May 24th to 26th, 2023. The work integrates research, outreach, and teaching as inseparable dimensions of geographical practice, taking the Brazilian semiarid region as both an empirical field and an analytical category. The chapters address topics such as the social production of space, rural conflicts, ageing, symbolic representations, cultural territorialities, cartography, inclusive education, and environmental planning from a contemporary and critical perspective. By combining rigorous theoretical inquiry with a strong commitment to social engagement, the book reaffirms Geography as a fundamental discipline for understanding contemporary territorial contradictions and for envisioning emancipatory projects in the Brazilian semiarid region.Item PIBID e Residência Pedagógica: Diálogo dos Saberes no semiárido brasileiro(2026-06-02) Nóbrega, Pedro Ricardo da Cunha; Mendes, Natália Tavares do Nascimento Silva; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9640-3351; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6947287718664579; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1457184029870347The book "PIBID and Pedagogical Residency: Dialogue of Knowledges in the Brazilian Semi-arid", edited by Natália Micheli Tavares do Nascimento Silva Mendes and Pedro Ricardo da Cunha Nóbrega, systematizes the rich formative experiences developed by Univasf between 2022 and 2024. This work reflects a collective effort to strengthen public education and both initial and continuing teacher training, supported by essential institutional and financial funding from CAPES. The central theme of the work is the "dialogue of knowledges" and immersion in the "school context", seeking to overcome knowledge fragmentation and link academic theory with daily practice. Through the integration of the Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBID) and the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP), the authors propose a formative continuum that values the basic education teacher as a co-educator. Consisting of 17 chapters by various authors, the collection presents experience reports and qualitative research in fields such as Visual Arts, Geography, Sociology, and Natural Sciences. A recurring highlight is the implementation of the Contemporary Cross-Cutting Themes (TCTs) from the BNCC, which connect curricular content to issues of citizenship, the environment, health, multiculturalism, and digital technologies. The described practices include the use of active methodologies, such as building didactic herbariums, molecular models, and using cinema and social media as pedagogical tools. The results show qualitative transformations in the professional identity of undergraduate students and increased engagement of pupils in schools across Pernambuco, Bahia, and Piauí. This work reaffirms the public school as a powerful space for knowledge production and the university as a hub for critical, reflective, and socially committed training tailored to the reality of the Brazilian semi-arid region. It is essential reading for educators seeking innovative didactic paths grounded in critical hope.Item Perspectivas e desafios do sertão nordestino - volume 3(2021-05-30) Souza, Sirius Oliveira; Lima, Kleber Carvalho; Valezio , Everton Vinicius; Sampaio, Sarah AndradeItem Perspectivas e desafios do sertão nordestino - volume 1(2021-07-27) Souza, Sirius Oliveira; Lima, Kleber Carvalho; Valezio, Everton Vinicius; Sampaio, Sarah AndradeItem Perspectivas e desafios do sertão nordestino - volume 2(2021) Souza, Sirius Oliveira; Lima, Kleber Carvalho; Valezio, Everton Vinicius; Sampaio, Sarah Andrade; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8276391391442898; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6828126996794621; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0919491945182170; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7594501546544582
