Item ANAIS - 1ª Semana de Geografia - Univasf: educação, capital, território e os conflitos socioambientais no Centro Norte Baiano(2024-04-01) Nóbrega, Pedro Ricardo da Cunha; Souza, Sirius Oliveira de; Mendes, Natália Micheli Tavares do Nascimento; Souza, Lorena Ferreira de; Rodrigues, Marco Aurélio; Sousa, Daniel Vieira de; Negreiros, Gustavo Hees de; Lima, Átila de Menezes; Pereira Junior, ReginaldoThis material presents the scientific proceedings from the 1st Geography Week of UNIVASF, held in person at the Senhor do Bonfim campus, Bahia, from May 24th to 26th, 2023. Organized by the Geography Department (CGEO), the event marked the Professional Geographer's Day and the program's anniversary under the central theme: "Education, Capital, Territory, and socio-environmental conflicts in the North-Central Region of Bahia". The content is organized into thematic axes that reflect regional research and extension efforts: Education and Teaching: centers on teacher training through programs like PIBID and Pedagogical Residency, while proposing innovative didactic tools such as physical models (maquetes), cordel literature, and cinema to teach geographical concepts. Society and Territory: addresses the geography of aging, urban accessibility, and identity within traditional communities, specifically the Quilombolas of Tijuaçu and "Fundo de Pasto" territories. Environment and Planning: includes studies on geoconservation, spring mapping, the impact of oil spills on the Bahia coast, and paleoenvironmental analyses in the Serra da Capivara National Park. Capital, Labor, and Conflicts: discusses the agrarian question, the impacts of mining in Brazil, and production relations within the Bahia sertão. The publication highlights the Department's commitment to robust and critical academic training, bridging university knowledge with the practical and social challenges of the Brazilian semi-arid region.Item Anais da 2ª Semana de Geografia - Univasf. Mudanças globais e os desafios locais: o papel da Geografia na composição de resiliências em perspectiva multiescalar(2024-11-01) Souza, Sirius de Oliveira; Nóbrega, Pedro Ricardo da Cunha; Rodrigues, Marco Aurélio; Mendes, Natália Micheli Tavares do NascimentoThe Proceedings of the 2nd Geography Week at UNIVASF, held from September 18 to 21, 2024, at the Senhor do Bonfim Campus (BA), consolidate a diverse academic production under the central theme: "Global Changes and local challenges: the role of Geography in the composition of resilience in a multiscalar perspective". The event, which celebrated the degree's 9th anniversary, sought to debate how planetary transformations impact specific territories, with a primary focus on the Brazilian semi-arid region. The work is organized into three fundamental axes reflecting the breadth of contemporary Geography. The first axis, dedicated to Education and Teaching, discusses the challenges of teacher training in the face of the High School Reform and the effectiveness of the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP). Innovative approaches stand out, such as the use of literature (works by Rachel de Queiroz and Itamar Vieira Junior) as a didactic strategy to understand drought and power relations in the countryside. The second axis, Nature and Society, explores natural resource management and environmental risks. Research utilizes advanced geotechnologies, such as Remotely Piloted Aircraft (drones), to monitor desertification and erosion processes. Additionally, the axis addresses the geography of aging in Quilombola communities and solid waste management in open-air markets, combining technical analysis with social relevance. Finally, the third axis, Capital, Labor, and Conflicts, analyzes contemporary territorial tensions. Studies examine everything from the productive restructuring of capital and labor precariousness to the territorialization of social movements, such as the MST, and the expansion of religious groups in urban areas. In summary, these proceedings represent a vital scientific record that reaffirms Geography's commitment to building more sustainable and resilient societies. The work demonstrates that the geographic perspective is capable of integrating physical, political, and cultural dimensions to respond to today's complex dilemmas.Item Anais da IX Semana Acadêmica de Biologia da Universidade Federal do Vale do São Francisco: : 23 a 26 de agosto de 2021(Universidade Federal do Vale do São Fancisco, 2021-10-16) Nunes, Vladimir de Sales [et.al]Item Arraial: caderno temático especial sobre Canudos e campesinato(2026-05-18) Carvalho, Jáder Barrozo de; Ribeiro, Jaciane dos Santos; Milanez, Joanna Lima de Almeida; Sousa, Thiago Batista de; Farias, Uiara Ferreira; Vieira, Denes Dantas; Barros, Edonilce da RochaItem Com Licença. The equation xy-x+y-3=0 represents a hyperbola. The mixed term (xy) indicates that the curve is not aligned with the original coordinate axes. For this reason, we apply a rotation of the axes by an angle (\theta) in order to eliminate the mixed term and obtain a simpler form of the equation. After the rotation, a translation of the axes may also be performed, shifting the origin to the center of the curve. In this way, the canonical form of the hyperbola is obtained. The change of coordinates makes it possible to: * identify the type of conic; * find the center of the curve; * determine symmetries; * facilitate the calculation of geometric elements such as vertices, foci, and asymptotes. The video allows us to visualize dynamically the harmony between the rotated axes (x_1) and (y_1), the angle (\theta), and the equations representing the hyperbola throughout the geometric transformation.Item Geometria analítica: equações paramétricas do plano(2026-05-28) Saavedra, BetoThis material presents, in a visual and educational way, the idea of a plane in parametric form in Analytic Geometry. The plane is defined by an initial point (P_0) and by two non-parallel direction vectors, (\vec a) and (\vec b). From the equation (P = P_0 + s\vec a + t\vec b), it is shown that, as the parameters (s) and (t) vary, the points belonging to the plane are generated. Thus, the animation helps students understand how the direction vectors determine the orientation of the plane in space.
