By extension, they promote democratic access to quality information in the face of a growing wave of obscurantism and denialism in society. According to Shmagun et al. (2020), information and communication technologies make open science possible by expanding the boundaries of knowledge dissemination to the public beyond the academic community. For this, we sought to use a methodology through bibliographic research. It was found that in Brazil there are laws, decrees, plans, programs and policies that benefit libraries and this is important for information professionals to be attentive to bring these improvements to their users, however it is perceived in the study a lack of accessibility policy created with the participation of these professionals and specific to Libraries.
